As an affiliate of SmartWay®, we agree to assist the EPA’s mission to help businesses move goods in the cleanest most efficient way possible. Since 2004, SmartWay® partners have eliminated 51.6 million metric tons of CO2, resulting in savings of 120.7 million barrels of oil and $16.8 billion in fuel costs.

Cooling Concepts incorporates the following features into our trailers, significantly increasing fuel efficiency:

PSI tire inflation:

PSI tire inflation systems maintain proper tire pressure in our entire fleet for optimum fuel savings.

Aluminum rims

Aluminum rims in a significant portion of the Cooling Concepts fleet reduces weight for better fuel efficiency.

Michelin/ Goodyear tires

Optional side skirting

Optional side skirting on all newer trailers reduces drag and lowers fuel cost.

Satellite tracking system

Satellite tracking system helps monitor routing and scheduling, temperature control, and driver behavior.

Hybrid refrigeration units

Hybrid refrigeration units allow customers to switch the unit over from diesel to electric by plugging them in at their locations.

Moveable bulkheads

Moveable bulkheads allow you to control the amount of space cooled as load diminishes, that way you are saving fuel by not having to cool the entire trailer but only the space that is needed.

Programable Refrigeration units

Programable Refrigeration units allow customers to choose optimal cooling options, that way their load stays cool, and save money on fuel.
